WYFFELS SCHOLARSHIP AND WORK PROGRAM

Wyffels Hybrids will grant two scholarships, each in the amount of $500 per semester, to two high school seniors or college students pursuing a two-year degree at Black Hawk College East in either Agribusiness Management or Agriculture Production.

Program Eligibility

Scholarships are available to students who live in Black Hawk College district. Awards are based on achievement, demonstration of community and school involvement, knowledge of agriculture and the perceived ability to contribute to agriculture in the future.

requirements for new scholarship applicants

  • Completed and signed application form.
  • A typewritten essay about why you selected agriculture as an area of study and your career goals. (Minimum 200 words)
  • Copy of high school or college transcript, whichever is applicable.
  • Two letters of recommendation, one which must be from an individual working or teaching agriculture.

SCHOLARSHIP RENEWAL

Students are eligible to continue (renew) the scholarship each semester by:

  • Remaining in good employment status at Wyffels Hybrids, Inc.
  • Participating in our work program as determined by their semester schedule, working during the summer between semesters; and
  • Providing a copy of their transcript demonstrating he or she has maintained a 2.5 minimum GPA.

Applications must be postmarked to the address found in the application no later than June 14, 2019 in order to be considered for the awards.
